For the weekend, read pages 791-805. Pay special attention to how the revolution and aftermath in France compares to the revolutions and aftermath in Haiti and the Bolivarian revolutions in Latin America.
Then, if you are in the mood to watch something that will bend your brain, check out the TED talk linked up here. The title of it is Questions No One Knows the Answers To. It is only 12 minutes long and it actually doesn't have anything to do with history....it just makes you think about what you don't know, which is good every now and again...
