Homework for March 14

Happy Pi Day!

yeah, it's math, but it's historical math, so deal with it!

For tonight, you are to read pages 738-747 in the textbook.  That will get you through what's going on in Japan, which we will discuss tomorrow.

For those of you on the DECA field trip, or who were out for other reasons, we looked at the letter Qianlong sent to King George III about trade between Britain and China.  The class used the #qianlongstyle to tweet about his tone, and then posted on their blogs a description of the tone and explanation for the tone.  Feel free to check out the # to see what people wrote, but you don't have to tweet if you don't want to--just an inclass activity. BUT you should know that when you are discussing the POV in a DBQ, you must have two sentences: The point of view of the author is: ___________.  The reason why s/he has this POV is because ___________________.  The blogs all have samples from class, so feel free to peruse.
