We talked today about the Aztec society, religion and political set up. Tonight read pages 549-555, and tomorrow we will have a comparative look at Incan society and present Oceania if time permits...
If you have a moment, you might also ponder the description of the Native peoples of North America...why are they different from their neighbors to the south? We don't really talk about North America in this course, but the contrast is startling, and I'll bet few of you have heard of the Great Serpent Mound in Ohio...how did they do that with no ability to see it from above?
