Turabian Structure
The Bibliography (in general)
· Turabian style requires that there be a single space between lines within a bibliographic entry (or note) and a double space between a bibliographic entry (or note)
· Arrange the items on your reference list alphabetically by author, interfiling books, articles, etc. Some professors will want Web-based sources in a separate section. I do not.
· Indent the second and following lines 5 spaces.
· There are no bullets or numbers preceding the entries.
· If you are using a typewriter and cannot use italics, then use underlining. Otherwise, Italicize!
· If no author is given, start with the title and then the date, and organize using the first portion of the entry. If a web page has no author, DON’T USE IT! EVER!
· Websites: include the date the page was created (or updated) and the date you looked at it. Links change!
